My name is Horace Oscar Oliver Thorton; you can call me Hoot!  (Get it? Hoot?)

I have been around for a long time.  Have you ever heard of the wise old owl?  That's me!!  I'm so old that people say I'm as old as dirt.  Ha! Ha!

I live on a farm in an old red barn; I love it here.  I have watched the humans around here grow vegetables and flowers for many years so I have learned a lot.  I have a good memory so you can ask me questions about gardening.
